This was my first half marathon and it happened to be the most gruelling run I have ever done.
Two things primarily went wrong
1. Training - I didnt train for that much distance. When I took the event, all the training I had done was just enough to get me past 10k. Once again, humbled by running.
2. Improper running posture - Striking the heel first, lagging front body and to add to the woes - not a great running shoe.
While I completely reconcile that this wasnt a great run, I should also say there were too many positives as takeaways. These should definitely get me through the training plan I have laid out for this year.
ECR - Will come next year too..Will nail you that time for sure.
